Dramatic Art
The dramatic arts are integrated into the curriculum at every level. The curriculum is designed to encourage students to use their imaginations, perform with self-confidence, participate collaboratively, and enhance problem-solving skills.
In our Early Childhood and Primary Grades, students retell stories, recite poetry, and role play throughout the course of their experience. These opportunities begin to develop the poise and confidence displayed in later years.
In Intermediate and Middle School, students are presented with more formal dramatic performances. Each grade level has at least one signature performance every school year.

Musical Theatre
Queen of Peace Musical Theatre is designed for 6th-8th grade students interested in learning more about all the aspects of theatrical production. Within this program, students not only learn theatre terminology, acting skills, and production processes, but also develop self-discipline, self-confidence, and engage in new learning strategies. Drama encourages students to explore their imagination, develop advanced communication skills, develop self-confidence, empathize with those around them, and collaborate with other participants.
Students learn acting, vocal skills and choreography.
Students participate in set design and building.
Our shows are fully crewed by students, from stage managers and run crew, to lighting and sound design and execution.
Our program offers the opportunity to learn and participate in a professional style rehearsal process.
